George K. Moss Co., Inc. designs, manufactures and provides turnkey installations for advanced coal burning boiler and combustion systems that enables industrial facilities to generate heat and power using low cost coal fuels as an energy source. In an era of higher energy prices, this means dramatically lowering the plants operating costs, while providing higher operating margins with less reliance on natural gas and grid electricity.

Moss coal boiler and combustion systems are designed and constructed on a new generation of technology that is simple in design, extremely versatile, lower capital cost and produces lower emissions than conventional coal burning equipment. Our technology is well suited for thermal and cogeneration applications at industrial facilities, universities, government facilities and large hospital complexes. Generally, the typical size of energy systems is up to approximately 300 MMBTU/HR useable heat for thermal systems or up to 20 MW electricity for cogeneration systems.

Moss provides its clients with the engineering expertise necessary to design, fabricate and install complete coal fired boiler systems from the fuel unloading and storage systems thru the exhaust stack. Moss will continue to develop new technologies and strategies for our boiler, combustion and co-generation systems, including combustion and cogeneration systems that operate on other low cost fuels such as municipal solid waste (MSW), tire derived fuel (TDF), wood and other biomass fuels.
